Expedition notes

Notes here are being made some time after the expedition so details are shaky. Here are some key points...

• The lands around Traitor's Gate will be hosting a regiment of the realm's army, and so sale prices in the town are subject to a 10% tax to help raise funds to supply the army.
• When fencing treasure in town Parabola used Charm Person to charm the fence. He gave excellent sale prices for his items, and also handed over three special items he found on a dead adventurer that had been in the dungeon: a +1 shortsword, a map to a point of interest in the dungeon and a scroll containing the spell Subterranean Gullet. He is now obsessed with Parabola and will do more or less whatever is asked of him within reason.
• The party were confronted by the goblins at the entrance of the dungeon and agreed to help drive out the orcs from goblin territory in return for unmolested passage in and out of the dungeon. They gave the goblins a severed orc finger (?) as evidence on their way out this day.
• A dwarf, Snorri Broadshoulders, and some of his attendents were met in the dungeon. Snorri is an archeologist surveying ancient dwarven stonework and the party has agreed to report back any sightings of such in return.
• Some diamond-encrusted spikes were recovered from a pit trap identified by the new dwarf in the party Oh Deargod. He did walk over the pit trap even after identifying what it was, though, to non-lethal effect.
• A secret room contained a sinister looking dagger floating over an altar. This was claimed by Jimmy, but now he is unable to put it down at all.
• The party discovered the northern border of the territory of the Open Sore orc tribe in the south-western quadrant of the dungeon. Here they encountered some orcs carrying their kills back to their homes to feed their children. The orcs the party had previously killed were not mentioned, and the party agreed to oust the goblins from the dungeon in return for safe passage through orc territory (the same goblins they had previously made a deal with to oust the orcs from the dungeon.)
